Social responsibility is at the core of all our operations. We are a Social Enterprise, and our responsible business practices were recognized with the Kasvu Open #ResponsibilityAct award in 2022.

Our activities are guided by our values – customer orientation, responsibility, authenticity, and joy – which are reflected in our everyday work. Based on these values, we develop our services and grow our operations in line with our strategy. Our goal is to be a pioneer in the field and a trusted partner in promoting employment for those in a more vulnerable position in the labor market.

What Is a Social Enterprise?

Merkin myöntää Suomalainen työ ry osoituksena liiketoiminnallisten ja yhteiskunnallisten tavoitteiden onnistuneesta ySunUra has been granted the Social Enterprise Mark, awarded by the Association for Finnish Work (Suomalaisen Työn Liitto), as a recognition of the successful combination of business and societal goals. Social entrepreneurship is strongly value-driven, economically viable, and aligned with the principles of sustainable development.

Social enterprises are characterized by their ability to:

  • Innovate and reform service structures
  • Provide welfare services in a humane and economically sustainable way
  • Employ people and develop services based on local needs
  • Reinvest profits into the wellbeing of their communities
  • Create profitable solutions to environmental challenges

The mark is awarded to companies that meet the Association for Finnish Work’s criteria for societal impact and responsibility. At SunUra, we are proud that our operations meet these requirements.

Member of ARVO – The Finnish Association of Social Enterprises

SunUra is also a member of ARVO ry, the Finnish Association of Social Enterprises, which promotes the operating conditions of social and value-based enterprises in Finland. The ARVO network helps highlight the societal impact of these companies and supports their growth, visibility, and recognition.
