At SunUra, we produce well-being for society by providing and developing effective coaching and employment services and by implementing other services that support the sector. SunUra was founded in Espoo in 2013 by experts working to help people with challenging employability – the long-term unemployed and those with partial work ability. Already back then, responsibility was an important part of our work – and it still is today.
In addition to coaching and employment services, we provide companies, the public sector and other employment operators with company surveys and staff leasing and recruitment services. Since 2016, we have further expanded our operations from Espoo to Pirkanmaa, Häme and Uusimaa. In December 2019, the company was transferred to the ownership of the mental health and substance abuse association Mielen ry through a takeover, with some of the founders continuing at SunUra.

Social responsibility is at the heart of our strategy
Social responsibility is at the heart of everything we do. We are a Social Enterprise, which means that we have been granted the right to use the Social Enterprise label as an indication of the successful combination of business and social objectives. Our responsible business has also received Kasvu Open’s #vastuullisuusteko (responsibility action) recognition in 2022.
SunUra and SunHoiva share the core values of Mielen ry
Since 1991, Mielen ry has been producing growth, housing and out-patient services to support mental well-being. The Mielen ry group consists of SunUra Oy and SunUra’s SunUran Hoiva Oy, founded in May 2022 and operating under the name SunHoiva, which offers high-quality and reliable care services to private persons as well as the public sector, organizations and companies in Southern Finland. In addition, the group includes Kiinteistö Oy Muotialan Asuinkeskus, which is 100% owned by Mielen ry. All our activities are guided by Mielen ry’s core values: hope, involvement, renewal and joy.
“We have succeeded in competition through our enthusiasm, creativity and a desire to do better. Our agile and productive activities have brought us satisfied customers and enabled us to grow and develop our operations. In this way, we have been able to direct funds to non-profit activities,” says the CEO of SunUra with delight.
